First, I would like to sincerely thank you for all of your support. My name is Sean Shea, and I am seeking the Republican nomination for the congressional race against Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy.

I currently reside in East Rockaway, and I am married with two beautiful children. My daughter is six years old and is currently attending first grade at our local public school. I also have a three year old son who will be attending our towns preschool program next year.

I was born and raised in Flushing Queens with two older sisters and a twin brother. My family struggled throughout my childhood. Although we were not of economic stature, what we lacked in money we made up for in love. Since my parents separated when I was three, my mother bravely accepted the job as a single mom of four children.

I attended junior high school at I.S. 237, which is located next to city housing projects. After my completion, I then went on to attend high school at Holy Cross in Whitestone, Queens. I was actively involved in athletics as well as various extra curricular activities. Upon graduating high school, I was eager to pursue my college career. I began my studies at SUNY Farmingdale where I enjoyed taking aviation classes and flying planes out of Republic Airport. I then transferred to Queens College and graduated with a degree in history. I was enrolled in the Air Force ROTC program for three years as a non contracted cadet and flew several hours with the civil air patrol. While I was part of the program, I attended boot camp at Lackland Air Force base in Texas. After my completion of boot camp, I had to undergo a flight physical which unfortunately showed a slight heart murmur. This disqualified me for a pilot slot. I told my wife if I didn’t get a pilot slot I would join the reserves, so I decided not to finish the program.

While preparing for the future of my children, who will both be attending school, I was planning to enlist in the Air Force Reserves. It was then that my purpose started to become more clear. Yes I always wanted to proudly serve my country, but now I also had to think about the welfare of my children, and the rest of our youth, who are ultimately the future of our society. An increasing interest in politics and an overwhelming sense of urgency to provide a safe future for my children compelled me to run for congress. I guess finding the murmur gave me a sudden change of heart!

I consider my self to be an expert on energy. I currently hold a patent for increasing the efficiency of converting water into hydrogen and oxygen. I have written an economic paper based on fixing the Federal Reserve, which serves as the foundation of my campaign. The spending and printing of money by Congress and the Federal Reserve have left the next generation with trillions of dollars in debt and a continuing devaluation of the dollar. Corrupt politicians are bankrupting this country morally and financially. This government has enslaved generations yet unborn to a burden of debt they can not afford to bear and can never repay. I believe I am in a unique position to stop this corruption.
